Welcome to Tiffany Lowe's Counseling,
Tiffany has been working with children and their families to resolve problems children often face and enjoys specializing in treating children and Families. Her fresh approach and outgoing, engaging personality have helped many families work through difficult situations, helping them find their strengths to improve problem solving skills, communicate more effectively, increase their trust, and improve overall family functioning.
Tiffany received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University. She worked as a counselor for Teenagers, who where in Residential Treatment for 10 years before pursuing her Masters of Social Work from Portland State University. She has been a Child and Family Therapist for over 18 years working with diverse populations, including school counseling services and outpatient treatment.
Tiffany works with children who are struggling through particular difficulties including but not limited to depression, anxiety, divorce, Grief and Loss, foster care placements, and sexual or physical abuse. Tiffany works with children of all ages, using play therapy in conjunction with traditional counseling methods, in a warm and inviting environment. Since children generally have different needs than adults when addressing loss, change or even family stress, she incorporates age and developmentally focused strategies in her therapeutic work with children.
Tiffany works with Teenagers and Preteens who struggle with parent conflict, school performance, peer problems, depression, and anxiety.
Tiffany works work with parents on effective discipline, sleep training, anger management, potty training, behavioral reward systems and family rules and consequences. We can focus on strengthening family connections and unity as well as confronting and finding solutions to the problems the parent and family sees as of greatest importance.
Tiffany works with families in coping with struggles including but not limited to family conflict, parent-child power struggles, death, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, divorce and co-parenting after divorce. She works to help the family focus on their strengths and increasing positive communication to alleviate family conflict. Families involved in counseling often find an improvement in solving problems, better communication between all members, an increase in trust, and improved family functioning.
Phone consultation and crisis management are also provided for families needing parent coaching as crisis arise in the home.
